This course to prevent falling is of vital importance to everyone. Increasing age sadly is associated with a heightened risk of falling and the consequences may be dire. Using well established and simple yoga techniques to increase flexibility, improve mobility and strength and enhance balance an individual’s chance of falling can be dramatically reduced.

No previous yoga experience is required. This course is suitable for all students and fitness levels and medical conditions are NOT a barrier to taking part. Please inform your teacher of any specific medical conditions. Wear loose clothes which allow you to comfortably move and we will be doing the practice in bare feet.

The course will consist of 4 classes. It is recommended to take at least 3 of these classes to optimize the benefits of the program. A short home practice will be recommended after each class.

We will work on breathing and focusing the mind, gentle warmups followed by range of motion work for the joints. We will do some strengthening practices and finish off with a restorative practice.
