Often, yoga practitioners are unaware of their hand and foot placement on their yoga mat. This can cause difficulty balancing, frustration, distraction, and in some cases, chronic injuries.
Join Lori Bird for Marking Your Mat - A Hands and Feet Workshop, which will focus on optimal alignment of your hands and feet during practice. For those newer to yoga practice, you’ll gain more confidence in your postures, allowing freedom to focus on breath and movement. For those with more experience, or teachers, you’ll gain an additional technique for deepening your knowledge and understanding of the practice of asana.
This workshop will provide you with some guidelines for where to put your hands and feet while practicing that are customized for your body. We will look at various line positions as well as hand and feet positions. Class will conclude with a short practice so that you can apply this helpful information.
Lorie is E-RYT 200 and YACEP certified through Yoga Alliance, so continuing education credit can be given for this workshop
